About Lonham
A major
commission for this year has been the "Lonham Collection"
which I've just completed.
Lonham Marine Underwriters
are an independent insurance intermediary, writing marine policies on behalf of certain syndicates at Lloyd’s of London.

Special
Requirements
Lonham
wanted to include their
company
logo somewhere on each bear.
We tried a number of different ways but in the end decided
to embroider the logo onto a paw pad as this gave a very
smart finish.

Having Fun!
While I
was busily working away Diane and her colleagues had great
fun thinking up names for all the bears. In the end many
were given the name of the person they were being sent to
which went down very well with their clients. |

Getting Started
Diane
from Lonham first contacted me in early September
with a request to make 20 bears as Christmas gifts for their Lloyd’s underwriters and top brokers. All the bears would have to be complete and
ready for shipping around the world for early December! |

Design
Diane
had admired Ralph so we decided to use a variation of his
design. By using different types and colours of mohair we
ended up with a final plan to make four sets of five
bears. |
Complete With
To make
the bears extra special each was supplied with a smart hang
tag and
certificate. Using my normal certificate as a guide
Diane provided the text she wanted to make their collection
unique.
